Meet the SINGING TEACHERS...

Alexys Paris - singing coach
Alexys Paris began performing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of five and was a member of THE TULSA GHETTO YOUTH CHOIR. Displaying a natural talent for the performing arts, Alexys gravitated towards acting, vocal ensemble, and lead singing roles. A graduate from The John Roberts Powers School of Modeling in San Francisco, Alexys was the male winner in the Face Finders Model Search Competition and a model for the CABINE MODELING AGENCY. San Francisco Bay Area vocal performances include City College of San Francisco, the Jazz School of Berkeley Performance Series, Octavia Lounge, and the Paradise Lounge/Transmission Theatre. After studying Speech Level Singing (SLS) vocal technique with Master Instructor Dave Stroud, Alexys was approached to become an SLS Instructor. Alexys is currently a SLS Instructor and teaches private lessons at THE VOICE STUDIO in SAN FRANCISCO. He is currently in the studio producing a collection of original compositions.

GERALD WHITE - singing coach
Gerald White comes to you with a degree in Music and Master's Certificate in Jazz and Commercial Music. He is currently a session singer in Los Angeles and can be heard on such film and television features as "ENCHANTE, SPIDERMAN, KING KONG, THE SIMPSON’S, AMERICAN DAD, BOSTON LEGAL, and many others. He has also had the opportunity of working on the recent HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL video interactive where he sang the voice of Zach Efron as Troy. Gerald is an SLS vocal teacher in Santa Monica and teaches singing at the SCREEN ACTOR’S GUILD in Los Angeles. He has taught in the LAUSD school district and also worked in the music departments of LA City College, Santa Monica College and SAMO High school. His 22 year teaching experience has been a very rewarding one and has allowed him to not only help others develop their talents, but has given him tools to enhance his work as a vocalist for film and TV.

STEPHANIE BARE - singing coach
Stephanie Bare is a Level 2 Certified Speech Level Singing (SLS) Instructor from Las Vegas. Formerly a classical pianist, she decided to leave the orchestra pit for the main stage after she realized the actors were having a whole lot more fun! At the urging of both Seth Riggs and Jeffrey Skouson, she made the leap from student to teacher nearly 10 years ago. In addition to her 17+ years of classical piano and her extensive vocal instruction, she studied performance psychology, acting and dance in college. That training is put to use maintaining her busy teaching schedule at SKOUSON VOCAL STUDIOS, where she teaches students of all ages from around the world. As a performer, Stephanie has appeared in numerous musicals, reviews, concerts and shows. She can be seen frequently in and around Las Vegas as a featured soloist with the Red Mountain Music Company (RMMC). In November 2007, she became the Director of RMMC’s 30-Member Youth Choir, a position she finds immensely challenging and rewarding. As much as she loves to sing and perform, she loves teaching and helping other people come out of their shells even more. Stephanie is delighted to be a part of Rising Stars!
